Private & Semi-Private Pilates
Personalized Pilates coaching, one-on-one or in a small group, tailored to your body and your goals.
Private and semi-private Pilates gives you focused, personalized coaching that a busy class simply cannot match. Whether you train with Elena one-on-one in North Bay or gather two or three friends for a semi-private session, every movement is chosen for your body, your goals, and your pace. Prefer to move at home? Private sessions are also available online across Canada and the USA, so you can keep progressing wherever you are.
As a Pilates instructor certified since 2007 and a personal trainer specializing in healthy aging, Elena builds each session around you, from your posture and breathing patterns to the way you move through everyday life. That means clear cues, real feedback, and modifications that keep the work both safe and challenging. It is the fastest, most supportive way to learn Pilates well, or to deepen a practice you already love.
If you have felt lost or overlooked in a large group, or you are working around a nagging area of tension, private and semi-private Pilates is where things finally click. You get expert eyes on every rep, encouragement that keeps you coming back, and a plan that grows with you.

Who private and semi-private Pilates is for
This format suits almost everyone, but it shines if you want more than a large class can offer. Complete beginners love the calm, unhurried start, learning to breathe, align, and move with confidence before anything else. If you are brand new, our guide to Pilates for beginners is a lovely place to start reading.
It is also ideal if you are managing tension, returning to movement after a break, or focused on healthy aging and staying strong for the long run. Because every session is built around you, we can prioritize posture, balance and core work, protect areas you want to be careful with, and celebrate steady, real progress. Semi-private and small-group options are perfect for friends, couples, or family who want that personalized attention while sharing the experience and the cost.
What a private Pilates session looks like
Your first session begins with a friendly assessment of how you stand, breathe, and move. From there, Elena guides you through mat and equipment-inspired work chosen specifically for you, cueing each movement so you feel exactly what should be working. There is space to ask questions, slow down, or push a little further, because it is your session.
Over time, we layer in more control, strength, and mobility, always at a pace that feels sustainable. Many clients pair Pilates with one-on-one personal training to build overall strength, or drop into group Pilates classes once they feel confident. Online clients get the same personal attention through live video, with cues and modifications tailored to your space at home.

Frequently asked questions
How much does private Pilates cost?
One-on-one private sessions are $80โ130 CAD each. Semi-private sessions for 2โ3 people are $45โ65 CAD per person, and a private small group runs $25โ40 CAD per person. US online clients can be billed in USD. Start with a free 15-minute intro call to find your best fit.
Can I do private Pilates online or is it in person only?
Both. You can train in person in North Bay and the Nipissing District, or join live private sessions online from anywhere in Canada or the USA. Online sessions keep the same personalized cueing, adapted to your space at home.
I'm a total beginner. Is this right for me?
Absolutely. Private and semi-private Pilates is one of the best ways to start, because you learn proper form, breathing, and alignment with full attention on you. There is no keeping up with a crowd, just steady, encouraging progress at your pace.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in, and bring water and grippy socks if you have them. For in-person sessions a mat is provided; for online sessions, a mat and a small clear space are all you need. Elena will confirm any details before your first visit.
How do semi-private and small-group sessions work?
Gather two or three people for a semi-private session, or bring your own small group, and everyone still receives personalized attention and modifications. It is a fun, motivating way to train with friends or family while sharing the cost.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens, so we simply ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a private or semi-private session. We will confirm the full details when you book so everything is clear from the start.
